Although I gave away the Raven after the FP cause I already had one in my lance and 2 are not that useful, so under that circumstance I can see the value of ditching it. Even more so if you have an ECM module to stick into a better mech. Didn't know you could loot the ECM modules themselves, you can't unqeuip it from the Raven atleast. But by god does it make some of the fights i get into a breeze. Enemies literally cant retaliate.

Flashpoints are available for both Campaign Mode and Career Mode. In Campaign, all Campaign missions must be complete before they become available.

As soon as the enemy is close enough to sensor lock one of your mechs it gets destroyed by a mass of LRM fire.
Showing 1 - 15 of 32 comments. Start by moving around to the right, away from the turrets and the LRMs and sensor lock become a non-issue. Stop reservinglet enemies take their turn the treb's will act and not do anything unless they have LOS since lock can only happen on init 1. Last edited by vidayen ; 30 Sep, am. Even without you having sensor lock hanging back and killing the enemy as they come to you works. Just avoid being in line of sight of the others. Also you can knock down some buildings for cover.

But this is BattleTech, in fairness. For all that it stars ton mechs knocking seven bells out of each other, it avoids flash and verve and, frankly, most of the colour spectrum. Unfortunately, said axe does not, in truth, rend steel like a hot, cow-sized knife through storey butter, but instead just deals a chunk more melee damage.
What BattleTech needed, far more than a few more robo-tanks, was remixing. The verbose story mode has its moments, but especially second or more time around it can be a drag — particularly because your supposedly freelance mercenary troupe is locked into doing the bidding of unelected royalty, rather than truly going their own way.
The post-plot endgame shakes off these shackles, but soon becomes a futile-feeling loop of cyclic, samey missions. Flashpoint fixes that handily. Flashpoint makes me feel like the leader of a freelance, spacefaring mercenary outfit, and that fits BattleTech like an enormous iron glove. Taking on a Flashpoint — optional missions which pop up irregularly on the starmap — means settling down for a chain of battles, in which you generally cannot repair damaged Mechs or heal wounded Mechwarriors between bouts.
These latter are what I most want to see mixed-up in future DLC, but for now a Flashpoint adds both a new sense of purpose and the satisfaction of some really big rewards if you complete the whole thing. It also subtly transforms the nature of long-term Battletech play. Done right, a Very Big Lad becomes less of a glass cannon, or you can have a get-out-overheating-jail-free card that generally reduces the in-mission maintenance grind.
Flashpoint is fine expansion in terms of re-engineering BattleTech for extended play, then — far better than kicking us into another pit of mega-story or necessitating a new beginning.
Already though, a Flashpoint-augmented BattleTech is a significantly leaner and more adaptable machine than the lumbering brute of launch.Saba xapi

Even if that just have the base models, the fun I could have is incredible!!!! Comstar as a reputation faction. As much as I hate Comstar, it might be fun to see what kind of goodies that they have in their stores. Expand the star map as much as possible.
I know that this one will never happen, but: Multiple Lance drops. I would like to play a 2 or 3 lance drop on a map with each lance having different objectives. A more strategic feel for the game IMHO would be fun. More moral bonuses. Add another moral bonus to the mix like an aerospace fighter strafing run or artillery strike.

Not too often, as it a slows down the game and b probably makes it trivially easy - imagine being able to focus down a single target with eight mechs. Kind of like what the opfor can do now.
In order to do multiple lances, they pretty much have to expand the map size, even as is it gets pretty cramped sometimes. And give us a Union or another Leopard. On my carrier I haven't seen a single one since that mission and glad I took it. Well on my campaing play I took no salvage the first mission and three of them dropped. Easy kill and could of had enough for building one, but my salave was 2 I went for all rep cause I had money. Well so I bump up my salvage and nothing. Tested giving it back to our contract backers and got 59 rep points than did a bunch of missions against Lao A "Murder" of Crows.
